Our excellent guide-book has travelled to the heart of the black continent, to Tanzania. Our relative (actually, he is also from The Bohemian Paradise) has given the book to a young native from the Masai tribe. This tribe is known as the tribe of the travelling warriors. As a seven-year-old, Philips left his home village and started studying. At the moment he is finishing his studies in travel management, he speaks fluent English and works as a Tourist Guide in the Serengeti National Park. He had never seen a castle before he got our guide book and the same is true about half-timbered houses. The castles and houses were a source of sheer fascinaton for him. Do you know how delicious a glass of cold beer can taste after a long trip when you stop to rest in a small country inn? Have you ever tried sleeping under the skies full of stars? Are you free and unafraid of the storms and rain? Then we have much in common. We know that the most wonderful things are difficult to share. We would like to tell you, our friends, how great it is to be in the world.
In 1992 we started an ambitious project - we would like to describe our beautiful country in a series of guide books under the title A Guide to Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia. Our country is a land with an interesting history, many unique sights, beautiful nature, but it can also be mysterious - in its old tales and stories - that is what we would like to show in our books.
As time went by, we started to publish more series of guidebooks and also other (more luxurious) books. The information these books cover is aimed at tourists, those who love biking, cross-country skiing, mountain climbing and boating, but we do not forget those who like going for their trips by car, either.
We are trying to choose the most beautiful places of interest when we ourselves travel round. We have been to all the places that we recommend for visit, because we want our guidebooks to be up-to-date and fresh. If you find a mistake in our books, please let us know. You are also welcome to write to us if you miss something in our books (e.g. information about something interesting that takes place in your area that you think the tourists should know).
